With the pleasure of greeting you, we present a report below that contains data on the work carried out by Sanando Heridas in the period from January to December 2022.

During this period we worked on the Health Care project for indigenous tsotsil children of Chiapas México from 3 aspects:

1. Comprehensive medical consultation

2. Group monitoring growth and development, under 5 years

3. Medical management actions

We share the main results:

2,054 meical consultations granted to children and young people from 5 to 18 years of age.

321 of these consultations were granted to boys and girls under 5 years of age cared for in the Growth and Development surveillance group.

 Main diagnoses:

22% were due to acute respiratory infections

14% were due to different infectious diseases

14% were in normal nutritional status

13.15% were due to chronic malnutrition

Other indicators:

61% of the consultations granted were female.

10 boys and girls treated in 145 actions of medical management.

83% of the consultations were granted in tsotsil

6 localities  belonging to 4 municipalities of the tsotsil region of Los Altos Chiapas attended. In addition to the care provided at the San Cristóbal de las Casas clinic.

All these diagnoses have been addressed with adequate and quality treatments for each of the children who use the program.

These accomplishments were made with funds received from the GlobalGiving project and other co-investment funds.

Thank you very much for your great support!

Kind regards

Sanando Heridas Team.
