Alkhidmat Sets Up Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme in Battagram
Access to clean and safe drinking water remains a significant challenge in many rural areas of Pakistan. To address this issue, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has successfully established a Gravity Flow Water Supply Scheme in District Battagram, ensuring a sustainable water source for the local community.
This project is directly benefiting 38 families, providing them with clean and safe drinking water without the need for electricity or expensive infrastructure. The gravity-fed system efficiently channels water from natural sources, ensuring a continuous and cost-effective supply for daily use.
Water scarcity has long been a pressing issue in these remote areas, forcing residents—especially women and children—to travel long distances in search of water. With the installation of this system, families now have direct access to water, significantly improving health, hygiene, and overall quality of life.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation, reinforcing Alkhidmat’s commitment to providing long-term, community-driven solutions.
