Dear Patrons,
I want to update you on the Goat farming project, a project that aims to address the problems of food insecurity, limited awareness of better farming methods, declining soil fertility, poor nutrition among mothers and their children, Limited accessibility to improved planting materials, the high poverty levels. Goat farming will help them to address each of these community priorities. The goat kids will be distributed to others in the community to impact more households' agricultural yields and income. As you know, Agriculture and goats have a symbiotic relationship that can contribute to sustainable farming by maintaining soil fertility. In the short run, this project will improve the food supply, and maintain soil fertility. So far we have been able to support 8 families. Of the eight families that received the goats, according to the last survey two weeks ago, 88% have increased their crop production due to the use of organic fertilizer. We have also evaluated the number of goats, currently available within eight families, the total number is 27 goats since December 2021.
We thank you for everything that you have done for our projects, and we look forward to your continued support.
Thanks and Best Regards.
