 Humanitarian Aid Consignment for Palestinian and Lebanese Families

Project Overview

In response to the pressing humanitarian needs of Palestinian and Lebanese families facing severe hardships, Alkhidmat Foundation, in collaboration with Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), has dispatched a 14th aid consignment from Pakistan to Beirut. This shipment marks a continuation of Alkhidmat's commitment to providing consistent, life-saving assistance to those affected by regional crises. The consignment, totaling 17 tons, was sent from Jinnah International Airport and is expected to reach Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut, where it will be distributed among vulnerable families across Lebanon.

Project Objectives

1. To provide essential survival resources to Palestinian and Lebanese families facing food and shelter insecurity.
2. To promote well-being and reduce suffering among displaced and impoverished families, especially in refugee camps and conflict-impacted regions.
3. To ensure timely delivery and equitable distribution of resources through effective coordination with local organizations and humanitarian partners in Lebanon.

Project Details

• Cargo Details: 17 tons of humanitarian aid, including:
  • Ball tents for temporary shelter, providing security and protection for displaced families.
  • Powdered milk for infants and children, addressing nutritional needs.
  • Canned food to provide immediate, non-perishable nutrition.
  • Jerry cans for safe water storage and management.
  • Family pack buckets containing essential household items, clothing, and sanitary supplies.

Implementation and Coordination

The entire consignment was organized and executed by Alkhidmat Foundation in close coordination with the NDMA of Pakistan. Alkhidmat’s on-ground team and Lebanese partner organizations will manage the distribution across Beirut and other affected areas, ensuring that aid reaches families in greatest need efficiently and promptly.

Previous Aid Efforts

Alkhidmat Foundation has a robust history of humanitarian support for Palestine and  Lebanon. Previously, we successfully delivered over 3000 tons of relief in 14 separate consignments. These ongoing efforts reflect our long-term commitment to assisting families impacted by crises in the Middle East, helping to restore stability and dignity to vulnerable communities.

Expected Outcomes

1. Improved living conditions for families who receive shelter and nutritional support.
2. Enhanced resilience among beneficiaries as they gain access to essential supplies that protect health and security.
3. Strengthened community trust and goodwill through reliable, continuous aid efforts from Alkhidmat Foundation and its partners.

Project Budget and Funding Needs

To sustain and expand our relief efforts in Lebanon, we aim to mobilize funds to cover logistics, procurement, and on-ground distribution for future consignments. Donations will directly support the purchase of shelter materials, food supplies, medical aid, and other urgent necessities, as well as transportation costs.

Project Report: Palestine Gaza Appeal

Project Overview
The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza has left countless families displaced, vulnerable, and in urgent need of essential supplies. In response, Alkhidmat Foundation, under the Palestine Gaza Appeal, has committed significant resources to provide relief aid to those affected. Our goal is to offer immediate support to the displaced people, focusing on basic needs like food, water, shelter, and medical assistance. This report outlines the latest development in our ongoing efforts, highlighting a major aid distribution event in Lebanon for displaced Lebanese families, in conjunction with our broader regional response.

Project Summary:

The Alkhidmat Foundation, led by President Dr. Hafeez Ur Rehman and Vice-Chancellor Retired Air Marshal Arshad Malik, successfully delivered 100 tons of relief aid supplies to Lebanese families displaced and affected by recent crises. The aid distribution event took place in Beirut with the attendance of prominent officials, including the Pakistani Ambassador to Lebanon, HE Salman Athar, the Councillor of the Pakistani Embassy, the Lebanese Minister of Health, the Minister of Social Affairs, and the Chairman of Disaster Management

1. Relief Aid Contributions

   • The relief consignment consisted of 100 tons of essential supplies, including:
     • Non-perishable food items
     • Clean drinking water
     • Medical supplies and hygiene kits
     • Emergency shelter materials (tents, blankets, etc.)
     • Clothing and other basic necessities for displaced families

2. Partnerships and Diplomatic Relations

   • This relief effort was carried out with the full cooperation of both Pakistani and Lebanese authorities, demonstrating the importance of regional partnerships in addressing the humanitarian crisis. The presence of key government officials emphasized the diplomatic support and joint commitment to alleviating the suffering of displaced populations..

Challenges

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to escalate due to ongoing conflict, restrictions on movement, and limited access to international aid. Despite these challenges, Alkhidmat Foundation remains committed to delivering life-saving assistance. Our team is actively working on overcoming logistical hurdles to ensure that aid reaches those in need as swiftly as possible.
