Thanks to Save the Children, Maria Christina and her husband, Juan Pablo have developed a successful buisiness selling coffee and fruit. Juan and Maria first started with Save the Children in 2012, as a member of our Sustainable food securities program. With the help of Save the Children’s programs, they learned how to develop a business plan. Maria says “my life has changed a great deal because now I have all of this knowledge” In a few short years, Maria and Juan have become financially independent and able to provide their children with education.
Maria and Juan are an excellent example of the opportunities that fruit trees can bring to a family.
