Practical Support for Life's Crisis

Cambodia is getting back to normal although Covid 19 can still be found every one and than based goverment announcement. People are still reocovering from the pandemic while restrictions are lifted and back is getting nack to normal again. Some of our target communities we have worked with recently encountered some life's crisis include 1 death, 2 sicknesses and 1 natural desaster. Peace Brdiges Organization (PBO) with the fund raised from Gloabl Giving was able to provide practical suppport for these communities members to meet their basic needs while they are dealing their health and losses. we are gratful that we can raise some fund from GG to serve these practicial needs of our community members.

Supporting Accident, Sickness and Baby Delivery

Many of the Prey Lang Community Netwrok members for the past six months suffered from accidents, sickness and some female activists delivered their first baby. Many of these communuties are badly affected by the deforestation and destruction of the forest, lossing their livelihood and sense of belong and existant as Kuy ethnic community in Prey Lang areas covered Kampong Thom, Phreah Vihea, Stung Treng and Kratie. We are thankful that we can raise some money on GlobalGiving combine with other sources we are able to provide small finanical support for these PLCN members to help pay for some medical bills.

Children In Needs Affected by Covid19 Pandemic

Covid19 Food Relief for Children in Prek Angchagn
Covid19 pandemic affected and continue to affect people today even though the level of severity and death are reduced because of vaccination. The effect on poor families lasts much longer than those who can afford proper shelters and regular incomes. Those poor families with poor resilient the loss of incomes and jobs pushed those families to a greater dept of poverty and unsolvable shark loan. Children in these families are the most affected victims, many could not go to school because of the school and Covid 19 restrictions and so the increase of illiteracy among these children climbed up higher, many force to work to get incomes for their families by selling their labors or selling some snacks at night where people gather and drink alcohol which put these children to a greater risk of being physically and sexually abused by the drunk people. A lot of these do not have proper food diet and suffer from malnutrition affecting their physical, psychological and intellectual growth. With the support from GlobalGiving and other personal donation, PBO's were able to provide some small package nutrition foods for more than 200 children (107 girls) in a poor village in Prek Angchagn village, Prek Angchagn commune, Prek Phnow district, Phnom Penh City. Many of these children were forced evicted with their families from middle of the Phnom Penh city and rubbish dump site. The small food package includes 1) Tooth paste and brush and soap 2) Milk and other nutrition cookies 3) books and pencils 4) Deep fried chicken.
