Transforming Lives with Clean Water in Gilgit

Alkhidmat Foundation proudly announces the successful completion of a Water Well Construction Project in Mashko, Tehsil Punial, Ghizer, Gilgit-Baltistan. This project marks a significant milestone in ensuring reliable access to clean water for the community, directly benefiting over 49 families.

By providing safe and sustainable water access, this initiative:

Promotes health and hygiene through the availability of clean drinking water.
Contributes to economic development by reducing the time spent fetching water, enabling community members to focus on education and livelihood.
Strengthens community bonds by fostering a collective sense of ownership and cooperation.

This project supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs):

SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, ensuring water access for all.
SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, by reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases.
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, enhancing the quality of life in rural areas.
