Endowment Fund of NDF Pakistan

The Endowment Fund of NDF Pakistan is a transformative initiative to ensure the long-term sustainability of our services for persons with disabilities across Sindh. With increasing needs and limited resources, this fund is designed to generate stable, independent income that will support core programs such as inclusive education, rehabilitation, assistive devices, disaster response, and advocacy.

With support from GlobalGiving donors, we have begun building this critical fund, which will be invested for ongoing returns, helping NDF sustain its operations and respond quickly to emerging needs, especially in underserved communities.

Key Highlights

1. Fundraising Milestone Achieved

• Raised $2,000 USD through GlobalGiving and offline supporters

• Contributions received from individual donors and a local business

• First deposit made into a dedicated endowment bank account under NDF’s financial policy

2. Governance Structure Developed

• Formed Endowment Oversight Committee (comprising Board Members and Finance Advisor)

• Drafted Investment Guidelines and financial monitoring framework

• Engaged a legal and financial advisor to support transparent fund management

3. Outreach & Awareness

• Organized two online info sessions to engage supporters and explain the purpose of the Endowment Fund

• Designed a donor recognition plan (donors over $500 will be honored on NDF’s Wall of Gratitude)

• Published awareness material in English, Urdu, and Sindhi to increase visibility and community engagement

Impact of the Endowment Vision

Though the Endowment Fund is not directly providing services yet, it is laying the foundation for:

• Uninterrupted Rehabilitation Support for 400+ children with disabilities annually

• Emergency Response Readiness during floods, fires, and disasters

• Operational Continuity for our four rehabilitation centers across Sindh

• Strategic Independence, allowing NDF to rely less on project-based funding

Next Steps 

• Reach $15,000 milestone by expanding donor base and organizing a Digital Giving Campaign

• Finalize investment options in consultation with a certified financial institution

• Launch a monthly giving drive to build long-term donor commitment

• Produce a video campaign to inspire contributions from Pakistani diaspora and corporate sector
