Dear Patrons,
Your project Isha Vidhya participated in the Giving Tuesday campaign on November 27th as part of the yearly holiday season fundraising at Globalgiving. These funds would be used for girl children education, noon meal, transportation, school infrastructure, learning aids, and govt. school support program.
The highlight of the campaign was the sponsorship of complete 14 years of full education (including noon meal and transportation) for a rural Indian girl child by one of our valued patrons! The donation of US$5300 (roughly around INR 364,000) would be equally split as 10 US$530 donations over the period of next ten months, so that that child’s school education is completely taken care of!
We are attaching the photograph of Nisha, whose education has been sponsored. Nisha has joined the Lower Kindergarten at the Dharmapuri Isha Vidhya school. Nisha's father owns a barber shop, and her mother is a homemaker.
Isha Vidhya has recently introduced the 14-year sponsorship program. We are glad to share that it is quite possible for you too to take part in the program by sponsoring a child for 14 years.
