Today, I’d like to give a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Mírame donors!!
This past December, Mírame received a very special donation that has breathed new life into the program! A very special thank you to donors with the initials JKW & DRW – and to our reoccurring donors – for sustaining Mírame’s initiative to support and empower women in Ecuador.
This past quarter has been relatively quiet, as the remaining funds available to the program we’re reserved for Mírame’s highlighted annual project, Respected Childbirth Week, which takes place in May. Thanks to the end of year gifts we received from various donors, Mírame is proud to have the opportunity to plan more activities for the year, far beyond Respected Childbirth week.
With this infusion of funding, I look forward to laying the foundation for an in-person women’s leadership retreat (provided COVID concerns lift as we move into the future) and coordinating a new series of online workshops to support women’s holistic health education.
Stay tuned for the next quarterly report to see what shakes out regarding new project planning and objectives! Many thanks to your support and contributions to help women in Ecuador transform, grow, and take on new aspects of leadership within their own lives and their communities. As Michelle Obama stated so poignantly, “The difference between a broken community and a thriving one is the presence of women who are valued”; here, we take on the challenge of helping women value themselves, for the benefit of their communities. <3
Warmly,
Colleen Eschenburg, Mírame Project Leader
