Seven-year-old, Jose loves playing with sandy clay, making towers with blocks and even tear them down. He recently started the first grade of elementary school, his actually academic challenge is to learn to read and write according to his age.
Jose has two very loving parents who raise him with clear rules consistent with his age, who care about him and his well-being. Thanks to them and their early intervention, he has a diagnosis and has undergone different types of therapy since very early. small, which have allowed him to lead an adequate quality of life and optimal learning, which has favored him in the emotional, social and academic aspects, thus allowing him to pursue a basic education in a regular school.
Currently at Wasi Esperanza, Jose is learning through phonetic graphs, the objective of this form of teaching is for the child to memorize each letter with the help of a graph that represents the characteristic of the sound, helping his pronunciation to be more correct, this is quite beneficial especially in those children who, like Jose, have some difficulty in language.
José is a person of few words, and it isn’t precisely because he doesn’t know how to speak, it’s because he only speaks when he feels comfortable or trusting with people, and achieving that at the beginning is not so simple, but once he you achieve it, you can observe in him a docile, obedient and intelligent child, eager to tell you things, learn and discover.
