Work on setting up TV Meraj is continuing. Recently a group of 8 people including 3 Radio Meraj staff and 5 staff from the AIL office started making small video clips on various issues such as educational, learning, cultural and societal. The first of these educational programs was broadcast recently.
The staff is also working on obtaining digital TV rights so the station can use this means for broadcasting. Media has changed a great deal in Afghanistan. Today there are 150 radio stations in the country and 50 private TV stations and 22 stat owned channels.TV is very popular and an excellent way to reach illiterate, poor people who have little access to educational resources.
Thank you for your interest in our project.
