We are waiting for government permission to start broadcasting. The station currently has one full time staff and a camera person. These work closely with AIL staff and Dr. Yacoobi’s private Radio Meraj on developing programs. They are working to create an archive of programs so they will have content available when the TV station is operational.
The topics they are working on follow AIL’s general areas of interest. Programs will include ones on health, education, women’s rights, democracy, elections, peace, core values and much more. There will be programs on news, local events and national ones, education, Afghan arts and music.
Thank you for your continued interest.

In my talk I emphasized it is essential to work with local governments and provide resources to local NGOs who are doing good work. Replicate excellent SDG focused programs so No One is Left Behind!”
