Hello Nyaka Family!
Every year, the Nyaka team puts together an impact report that showcases all of the statistics of how far the funds and work goes to change the lives of the community members that we serve.
We've just released our report with all the data and information from last year, and it's truly inspiring.
Some top statistics:
High School Completion Rate: Nyaka-supported students achieved a 99% school completion rate, surpassing the 96% reported in 2022 and significantly higher than the rates in peer schools.
National Examination Pass Rate: Students from Nyaka-led schools attained a 98% pass rate in national examinations, an improvement from 94% in 2022 and notably above the 82% pass rate of peer schools.
University Graduation Milestone: Since 2014, Nyaka has supported a cumulative total of 293 university graduates. This achievement reflects the organization’s commitment to facilitating higher education opportunities for girls, enabling them to attain bachelor’s degrees and pursue professional careers.
Wellbeing Index Achievement: Nyaka-supported students reported a wellbeing index score of 94% across ten key domains, including education, shelter, health, mental health, protection, community, food and nutrition, spirituality, and economic stability. This score surpasses the 85% reported by peer schools, indicating a holistic improvement in the quality of life and educational environment for girls under Nyaka’s programs.
Employment Outcomes for Graduates: Among the 293 university graduates supported by Nyaka, 70% transitioned to employment before or within six months after graduation. Specifically, 64.5% are formally employed in professions such as doctors, teachers, and engineers; 15.3% are engaged in business or self-employment; and 21.2% are pursuing further studies or involved in other productive activities. These outcomes highlight the effectiveness of Nyaka’s educational programs in preparing girls for the workforce and contributing to their economic empowerment.
Thank you always for your generosity and support. Your kindness has enriched the lives of hundreds of young women in rural Uganda.
