X had gone missing after she went to her Coaching Centre on 20.05.19. The case came to Jabala Action Research Organization on the same day. On 21.05.19 GDE (Police Case) was done at Police station. X was traced at Mumbai Brothel after the alleged trafficker Raju ((name changed) was apprehended. With joint rescue operation by Jabala, Police and NGO on Mumbai she was rescued on 06.06.2019. She was produced before CWC (Child Welfare Committee) on 10.06.2019. Two more traffickers Sonu (name changed) and Shamim (name changed) were arrested later. X was lured in the name of marriage. She was confined in a house for 15 days and abused.
During her days in Shelter Home X undergone skill training and taken active interest in football. X was restored back to her family in April ’20, where she participated in football sessions with other girls. In December’20 X got a call for an interview for ‘Community Police’ and was selected. Now, X is working and have become a role model for others
Jabala tries to instill the confidence among resource poor, vulnerable girls and survivors of violence that ‘Tomorrow is a New Beginning’ and prepares them for astigma free joyous life of their own choice. In last three months 150 girls were trained in Computer skills; Spoken English and imparted training on Home Paintings.
