María and all SabanaYegua Viejo´s people are very happy with the progress of their community. Nature Village is the first sustainable community powered by solar panels in Dominican Republic. For the first time 50 families are having access to energy, clean water and sanitation, decent work, education, technology and eco-friendly housing construction.
We have already raised funds to start building 34 homes to benefitmore than 170 people. Thanks to your generosity María and her neighbors are having access for the first time to clean water and energy, a bathroom and better living conditions. These eco-innovative homes are built with recycled plastic through the partnership with Habitat‘s local affiliate in the Dominican Republic.
On behalf of our team, THANK YOU for your solidarity and support through the GlobalGiving fundraising platform. Thanks to 72 donors we reached US$6,002 to raise the house. We are still active in GlobalGiving´s portal receiving funds to complete the total goal for the house that is around US$ 8,500. It contemplates 3 bedrooms for her family.
You have already made a great contribution, now we encourage you to tell your friends and contacts in your network and motivate them to be part of this campaign and that together we could complete this unique project.
