By Chris | Low adaptation capacity and it's impact on the poo
Climate change and it affects the vulnerable poor are oftentimes under the measure. This aggravates the suffering of the affected. Mr. Uzor is a disabled middle-aged man who's family was involved in a fire outbreak during the COVID19 lockdown in Nigeria. Due to his condition, and lack of skill capacity to make incomes, Uzor's issue became worsened. Through the support of RUWAI led by our Executive Director, Uche Isieke, he received aides from volunteers to offset his bills. This isn't just enough for him, he needs the income generation skills to cope. We are glad to announce that Uzor has been selected among 25 poor rural young Nigerians the Rural Watch Africa Initiative is empowering with beekeeping skills to help cushion their economic hardship and their vulnerability to crime as a result of the degradation of their natural resources and lack of capacity to adapt. Uzor and his wife are born deaf and dumb and lives in their Oka rural area, Nigeria.
