Create 50 guardians for Bahia Magdalena mangrove

As part of our team's initiatives, a concluding visit is scheduled for the first two weeks of December in Bahia Magdalena.

• During this visit, we will conduct environmental education activities in local schools, with a focus on the mangroves and the resources they provide. Additionally, the students will be extended an invitation to participate in a beach cleanup within the community.

• The beach cleanup will be organized in specific areas chosen by the community due to the prevalent garbage issues. This initiative aims to raise awareness among the community regarding the presence of waste, particularly in the mangrove areas. Students who participated in the environmental education activities in schools will have the opportunity to explore the mangroves during the cleanup, emphasizing the key points covered in the previous educational activities.

• Furthermore, a meeting is scheduled between our team and representatives from the oyster business sector. During this session, we will discuss the nature of Pronatura's work in the area, identify the needs perceived by the community and the sector, and propose collaborative activities for 2024.
