The GRACE leadership team in Thailand is working in the developmental planning phase of the computer literacy project.
GRACE has established the first of two locations for computer training classes. We determined utilizing the conference and training room at the GRACE Regional Headquarters in Pattaya is suitable for teaching computer literacy classes. We have established climate controlled secured storage for the equipment.
Currently, staff and team members are utilizing two personal laptop computers with access to projection to navigate through group English language sessions in the Family Resource Center. The staff encourage children to have hands-on access to the laptops in order to generate confidence, knowledge and skills.
The leadership team is learning, too. Working together, the leadership is acclimating to Google documents internet-based platform. The team is becoming more efficient with docs, sheets, photos and slides. The team is also learning to share files and folders with team members in the USA. The workflow has improved with reduced time, duplications and communication.
Thank you for supporting this vital program as computer illiteracy increases one's vulnerability to being trafficked into the labor industries.
