With Christmas now behind us and 2022 soon coming to a close we want to take a moment to thank all the amazing people who have helped to make this holiday season so wonderful!
Thank you so much for your generosity, support, emails, messages, phone calls, gifts and everything else in between. Our Christmas celebrations went off without a hitch – filled with joy and celebration!
Many of our Mission graduates returned home for the holidays – only increasing the fun that we all had! Our Christmas Eve carols service was a fun night, following the service we sat together for a delicious meal that was followed up by a bonfire and, in true GSAM fashion, a dance party that lasted all the way to midnight! Some quick Christmas wishes and it was off to bed for everyone.
Christmas morning started early in the Nursery as our youngest awoke to stockings full of treats and toys before racing down stairs to see what Santa had left under the tree. At 10:00am visitors, staff and kids alike met together in the dining room for our annual Christmas morning brunch. After some delicious food gifts and treat-bags were distributed. The rest of the day was spent relaxing, playing cricket or playing games around the yard.
The fun was certainly not over however as on the 26th we walked as a group deep into the jungle crossing countless rivers before setting up camp in a large open field for the day. After a delicious fireside dinner it was time for a torchlight walk home (our youngest ones went back in a vehicle).
We’re still not done, today there is another jungle trip and tomorrow night will be another celebration as we welcome in the new year!
Thank you for playing your part in making this Christmas season so special for our kids – it truly is the most wonderful time of the year! Merry Christmas everyone!
