By Louise Brams Vinther | Project Leader

Hi, all friends and supporters! We’re grateful for the opportunity to send you a bit of information on what’s going on here at MAMA in the area of mental health and resilience!

Since January, our two psychologists have been working with the children and their families to improve their emotional intelligence and the familiar conducts to provide a healthier environment and relations for both children and parents.

In total, they have carried out:

  • 43 psychological valuations, to detect the spectrum of emotional problems and conducts, but also the strengthens in each child.
  • 121 group sessions, where the children mirror their experiences and challenges with their peers. Here they work their empathy and conflict resolution, they feel understood, and learn that there are other people in their situation or situations alike.
  • 43 individual therapy sessions, where the aim is the work the emotional intelligence of each child, where they learn to express emotions, but also recognize conflicts or not healthy situations or patterns.
  • 12 sessions for parent-child, where the specific aim has been to enhance the relationship between parent and child, by detecting the areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • 10 parental sessions to work and enhance the emotional skills of the parents and provide them a space of support in their everyday life, that are difficult lives.

This work have been possible, thanks to you and the generous support you've offered us! So, thank you!
