Re: Report on project CAPACITY BUILDING FOR 140 BLIND PERSONS - Phase 1
Greetings from JOC FOUNDATION.
We are delighted in your continual support of our vision which is to be a veritable instrument and agent in the reduction of all forms of disabilities in the society and to create an
enabling environment for both the physically challenged and the less privileged.
Here is a brief on the activities and progress of the foundation for the project CAPACITY BUILDING FOR 140 BLIND PERSONS at the School For The Blind Afara Ukwu Umuahia, Abia State, South East Of Nigeria as at this May 2021.
While our ultimate goal is capacity building for 140 blind students, total actualization is dependent on available funds thus we decided as promised to schedule the project to impact a group of students per session as donations come in.
Project Funds
The total funds expected for 140 students is NGN 5,443,000 ($15,119)
The actual fund received in the last campaign NGN 1,340,640
The total funds used in execution NGN 1,220,500
Project Impact
The total number of students reached so far numbers 100.
Project Activity schedule
Day 1:
Introduction of the program.
Sharing of face mask.
Presentation of skills to be taught.
Teachings on how to make Hand sanitizer and
How to identify different chemical used by feeling and smelling.
And how to bottle them.
Day 2:
Teachings on how to produce liquid soap and Antiseptic/Disinfectant.
How to identify the various chemical and there various names.
Day 3:
Bottling of products and application of stickers on products by student.
Recap on what has been taught.
Interview of pupil on knowledge acquired through out
Presentation of skills acquisition materials on the Braiz to the school
Presentation of all items produced to the school.

Impact
Students are now able to produce a Hand Sanitizer, a liquid Sanitizer and liquid soap. we will commence the next stream of training as soon as we recieive more donations.
