We are grateful for all the supports we've received towards actualising this CAPACITY BUILDING FOR 140 BLIND PERSONS in AfaraUkwu in Abia state , Nigeria.
While we await disbursement of funds to our organisations before we start carrying out action plans proper, we have done the following and are still working on the plans.
1. On-site visitation and reanalysis of the school of the blind as well as current state of things in the school. Suffice to say that The welfare situation of the school is not getting better and so I believe that this project will definitely improve the general well-being of all the blind students including their care givers.
2. We have a committee of volunteers (including JOC FOUNDATION members and ad hoc) set up and are ready to get to work as soon as project is activated.
3. Facilitators for the capacity building are being scheduled and prepared towards the commencement of the project.
4. Drawing up plans for a progressive and effective allocation of available funds for significant impact.
5. Continuous communication with the school leaders especially the principal.
Thank you again.
