AIL continues to promote reading through support for libraries, setting up libraries and publishing books and magazines. In January, AIL published another edition of its magazine which included a variety of topics. There were articles on: health and Islam, living a long life, Ebola, Vitamin K, biography of Dr. Yacoobi, Conference on Love and Forgiveness, mobile phone technology, politeness, humanity and civility, AIL activities in Kabul and Herat, AIL trainers visit to India, life of Gohar Shad Begum, 9th century art, Radio Meraj, story and poems and readers’ letters, teaching methods, psychology and puzzles.
You can see there is something for almost everyone in the magazine. AIL aims to introduce people to information, ideas and new ways of thinking which they may not have come across before. The magazine is also a way to get people help with problems by giving them information and resources to go to.
Thank you for your support for the promotion of literacy in Afghanistan.
