Hello everyone,
We wanted to update you on the Bike Fundraiser for Beepul. Unfortunately, we were unable to raise enough funds to purchase a new bike. However, with Beepul’s support, we redirected the funds to provide sports activities at schools in his community, engaging many of his former classmates. We hope you can enjoy the photos of the recent sports activities made possible by your amazing donations. The outcome was not exactly what we planned! But, Beepul and the team know that this still aligns with his dream of 'sports for all' - believing that all children, despite their background can participate and achieve in sport. So, Thank you.
Here, Shivani, grade 8 (pictured below), tells us:
“The sports we've done here have been so fun! We love having sports at school. Makes us feel happy and fun and enjoy with friends!”
So, despite not achieving our initial goal, Beepul’s community still benefited greatly from the physical exercise opportunities provided. The impact of these activities has been joyful and fun for the students at Kushadevi School, and supported us to go on an work with a UK school who have been fundriasing to provide a Kushadevi sports teacher!
This experience has been a learning opportunity for us. While we couldn't fulfill our original plan, our other projects, such as supporting those affected by the recent floods and landlsides, and Improving Access to and Quality of Education, continue to make a positive impact here in rural Nepal.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We are proud of the benefits we were able to bring to Beepul’s peers, even if it wasn't in the way we initially hoped.
All the best and thank you so much for helping us create positive, meaningful impact for Beepul’s community who deserve the opportunity to have the Freedom to Learn!
