The loss of U.S. foreign aid funding puts lives on the line and futures at risk. Humanitarian assistance increases access to health care for people in the most desperate situations. Americares remains dedicated to providing essential health services and supporting those in need. To ensure that we can continue to deliver on our mission for millions of people in the U.S. and around the world, we have launched a 2025 Resilience Fund.
Millions depend on humanitarian aid to survive. Now, children and adults in the most desperate situations will suffer and fragile health systems will be overwhelmed. U.S. government funding cuts to Americares have disrupted or stopped critical programs that provide health services for 15K in Colombia, improve maternal and neonatal health for 1M mothers and children in Tanzania, would expand our low-cost clinic in El Salvador and would support increased aid for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The Resilience Fund will help ensure that Americares life-changing work helping people affected by poverty or disaster continues in this moment of crisis. Your support is vital to the millions of people who rely on Americares for essential medicines, programs and aid.
Americares has a long history of responding to humanitarian crises. We've seen firsthand their devastating impacts - on families, communities and futures. The Resilience Fund supports Americares and our local partners to drive long-term change for some of the most complex health problems in the U.S. and around the world. The fund will help ensure that Americares remains a leader in providing access to health for people in times of disaster and every day.
