Fruit Cart Distribution – Empowering Families Through Livelihood Support
Alkhidmat Foundation continues its mission of uplifting underprivileged communities by launching its Fruit Cart Distribution Program across various regions of Pakistan. Through this initiative, dozens of deserving families have received well-equipped, sturdy fruit carts, enabling them to start small-scale businesses and earn a sustainable livelihood with dignity.
This program is part of Alkhidmat’s broader Income Generating Program, designed to provide practical, long-term solutions to poverty. Instead of one-time handouts, these fruit carts offer a means of consistent income to families struggling with unemployment, especially in marginalized urban and semi-urban areas.
Key Highlights:
Distributed in major cities and underdeveloped districts of Pakistan
Focused on widows, orphans’ guardians, daily wage earners, and jobless youth
Includes training on business management, hygiene practices, and customer service
Each cart is provided with an initial stock of fruits, helping recipients begin operations immediately
The recipients expressed immense gratitude, sharing how this support would transform their lives and allow them to become self-reliant. These micro-enterprises not only help families put food on the table but also restore hope and self-respect in difficult circumstances.
This impactful initiative is made possible by the generosity of our local and international donors, especially through platforms like GlobalGiving. We invite compassionate individuals and organizations to donate and sponsor more fruit carts — together, we can empower hundreds more to break the cycle of poverty.
