Alexander just loves to be active! It's hard to get him to be still ANYWHERE!
Thankfully he has plenty of space and so many friends to keep him busy.
His passion for football remains unabated and if we are ever wondering where he is, we will find him on the little soccer field on the Embrace Village property and he will be kicking a ball around with one of his brothers or friends.
He plays for his school team and even got to captain one of their matches - which he thought was the 'coolest' thing.
Medically, it is both a blessing and a concern that he is growing. His spinal curve has not deteriorated in the last 6 months which is good news. He sleeps in the back brace and exercises regularly to help keep things on track.
The challenge is emerging that his growth is exceeding expectations and the taller he gets, the more gravity will be working to bend him over. The growth is also resulting in the need to get a larger brace, one more suited to a young adult and this is at present out of our financial reach.
We will be working in the coming months to try gather the funds to keep him in a brace and avert the need for back surgery and spinal pins.
