Coronavirus continues to keep kids in Nepal locked down!
It is amazing how well the IGWR-Team, and children, in Nepal are managing the pandemic. With schools and colleges in lockdown we are continuing to provide home schooling, and schooling support to some sixty children.
Overall, the situation in Nepal is still not under control, and Covid-19 cases are rising daily: there were 4,392 new cases recorded on the day this report was prepared!
With the major national holiday of Dashain about to start there will be an increase in mobility and social gatherings that could exacerbate an already critical situation.
Dashain (Dasãi, ) is the longest and the most auspicious festival in the Nepal annual calendar, celebrated by Nepalese people, along with their diaspora throughout the globe. It is very much the ‘Christmas’ celebration equivalent and we will giving the students an opportunity to have a break and celebrate even in their lockdown situation.
We are continuing to focus our reporting via our initial School+Plus project and you can check out the project page and reports via the following link:

We are also sharing stories via our website and Facebook pages, and are happy to give supporters any further information on request.
And although we are living through difficult and challenging times, we are making a real difference for the children we support.
We hope you can fully appreciate that it is your generosity that's making the difference, and so again we thank you for your generous support.
We need your support now more than ever to get us through these difficult times, and some of our sponsors are also experiencing financial hardships.
If you can share you story of giving with friends and encourage them to also be a part of this valuable community that would be awesome.
With Covid-19 restrictions we cannot hold fundraising events, but perhaps we are heading toward a more compassionate world; perhaps the era of “giving” is becoming infectious.
Peace & Love, Peter H
