AIL tries to be ready for any eventuality, including natural or other disasters. There are many poor Afghans who need a helping hand to get by. Aid takes the form of food such as oil, peas, legumes and rice. AIL replenishes its supplies after winter and tries to anticipate demand in the coming months.
Currently, AIL is raising funds to hold in readiness for when need arises. There are always vulnerable people and when all else fails,AIL becomes a lifeline to them for which they are extremely grateful. "Now my children will not be hungry. I had no way to get enough food before coming here," said one woman.
