As the year draws to a close we reflect on what we have done and how this has changed lives for the better. AIL’s Emergency Aid program has helped people by providing food aid at critical times. This aid has helped 1,710 families in 2017.
Stories are the best way for us to show how you help poor Afghans improve their lives and communities. One woman said, "I am a 30-year old widow and I have four children who are hungry and cold this winter. I am a cleaner and wash clothes for neighboring rich people. My family lives in a rental house. I cannot pay to heat our rooms with the money I get. I was so afraid and concerned at the beginning of the winter, but AIL helped me with foodstuffs. I received rice, oil, beans, tomato paste and lentils which saved my children in the cold weather. I am happy. I am waiting for more help in the rest of winter. I thank AIL for saving my family.”
Thank you for your support. Please read the 2017 Newsletter from CHI featuring AIL.
