AIL is always looking for ways to increase literacy among men and boys. It offers classes in reading and writing, publishes a magazine and supports or provides libraries. Another way is through book publishing and recently the book, Focus of Thought was published by AIL.

This slim volume of 124 pages is aimed at helping people to focus and therefore be more effective not just in reading but in anything they do. The chapters include principles of concentration, concentration in reading, working and positive thinking, as well as senses in the classroom. Reading is good for the individual but concentration in reading and in life is better, being in the moment helps us to be effective, alert, empathetic and aware of others.  At the book release presentation all the attendees received a copy of the book and AIL hopes to get copies to all its offices and Learning Centers.

Here is a story from one of the LC libraries, “I am a student of English at an AIL Learning Center. I am a school girl as well. My teachers at school gave me projects to search for. Fortunately I find lots of good books in the library at the AIL center which I can use as references. I study in this library and borrow some books to work on my projects. I also help my classmates to study and search on their projects. I am recommending my friends use this library.”

Thank you for your continued support.
