Project Report | Mar 9, 2020
Plans for 2020

By Elizabeth Appleyard | Program Officer

This project has a chance to win a place in the GlobalGiving Girl Fund!

DONATE TODAY and help us get into this special fund which provides monthly funds for a whole year! The more people who donate the better our chances!

AIL’s program plans for this year include continuing to:

  • provide essential education to females, many on a fast track basis.  AIL plans to hold 12 fast track mobile literacy classes for at least 360 female students. Topics to be discussed via texting include life skills, health care, mutual respect, universal values and culture,
  • hold tailoring, computing, English and literacy classes in over 40 Learning Centers.
  • run a Women’s Empowerment Program for the third year. This year 91 highly educated and professional women are participating in the program. Throughout the year they will be discussing various topics such as culture, speaking skills, laws that prohibit the harassment of women, women entrepreneurship, how to be a leader and mutual support.

Thank you for your interest in our work.

AIL is working towards: SDG Goal 4 – Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
